The city of Nairobi is the largest and the capital of Kenya. The name Nairobi comes from a Maasai phrase "Enkare Nairobi" meaning cool water. This phrase is also associated with the Nairobi river.
Aside from being the largest city and capital of Kenya, God has provided many great opportunities to outreach to the Nairobi locals through Pastor Peter and Jane Irungu, of the Deliverance Church Muirigo.
Their mission statement is, "To facilitate believers to be grounded and established in faith; providing
opportunities for wholistic Christian growth and involve the believers in reaching the lost for Christ."
Peter and Jane want people to gather and reconcile as we partner with Christ in fulfilling His mission on earth.
As a team we would be able to do house to house/ person to person outreaches, evangelism through out the neighborhood. People who live in the city have gotten used to the out reaches, but there are still many great opportunities to reach people in the rural areas. This is where we would like to be able to touch many lives by reaching the people who have not been exposed.
In years past, The Isaiah Connection has set up medical camps that have made a huge impact of the people who have participated. We would like to set up another medical camp. With these camps they not only touch and minister to people with physical needs but also people in need of spiritual healing as well! This camp would be able to open doors to get people into the church and interested in the Irungu's mission, passion and love for Christ.
Right now the church's sanctuary is not completed. Every week the they are meeting in a tent, that may or may not last another year, due to a weathering and being torn.
Not only would this project serve as a place of worship but also space for Sunday school classes, discipleship classes for members of the church, equipping them to do ministry work as well as offices for faculty.
They are in process of organizing many fundraising drives in order to raise enough funds to complete the sanctuary project!
If you would like to join our team and partner with the Irungu's and have questions just contact us!
Won't you partner with us to help the Irungu's reach the lost?
